Pastor Juanita Rasmus and Dr. Rudy Rasmus

are respected spiritual leaders, authors, and humanitarians devoted to service and compassion. Native Houstonians, they co-founded St. John’s United Methodist Church in 1992, growing it from nine members to a thriving, inclusive community. After more than 30 years, they became Pastors Emeritus in May 2023. Though their nonprofit, Bread of Life, Inc., and Tenemos CDC, they’ve addressed homelessness, hunger, and health disparities in Houston. Together, they’ve authored six books and remain dedicated to faith-based community impact. Married for 40 years, they cherish their two daughters, sons-in law, and beloved grandchildren.
